BEPART INCLUSION THROUGH SPORT FOR BETTER SOCIETY
OBJECTIVES TOPIC encourage social inclusion and equal opportunities in sport to promote taekwondo as a tools for social inclusion to develop sophisticated and multilayer methodology for practicing taekwondo in a way for achieving mutual understanding and social inclusion; to empower coaches of martial arts with the necessary skills and knowledge to address the problem of social exclusion to increase intercultural awareness and combat prejudice against socially excluded people with a particular focus on young people; to support gender equality in sport; to develop a sophisticated online tool which will serve as a sport hub and e-guide for both coaches and marginalised people; to support social inclusion by providing a mentoring functionality on the Hub s platform
ACTIVITIES elaboration of BePART Guide which will encompass 7 different modules which will address the needs of the target groups in a tailored manner. development of BePART Hub which shall combine numerous functionalities e- guide modules with videos developed and included; mentoring tool, which will allow for both individual and group mentoring; a network place where relevant stakeholders will be able to exchange knowledge and join efforts in combating social exclusion; a website of the project Two international multiplier events for more than 240 participants; Wide dissemination activities with the purpose of reaching out to 10 000 people
Young people at risk of social exclusion this target group involves young people who may get socially excluded due to low social status, including these with low opportunities, people at risk of discrimination. This target group will be identified and approach under the navigation of the APIC partner, considering their extensive expertise in combating poverty and social exclusion. TARGET Young people socially excluded this target group is interrelated with the previous one and aims to encompass young people that are subject to real (not only at risk) social exclusion, thus including young people, who really are discriminated on bases of different factors, young people with disabilities, etc. Members of this target group will be defined on the basis of different factors such as unemployment, drop-out from the educational system, etc. GROUPS Young people practicing sport and not following within the first two categories. This target group is envisaged as it encompasses the social circle of people in which the first two groups need to integrate to (through the activities of the BePART project). The ultimate purpose is to change their mind-set and educate them on social values such as mutual understanding and tolerance. Coaches and trainers of martial arts BePART targets coaches and trainers as it fully acknowledges their role in sport, being the actual connection and impact factor on changing young people attitude and mind-sets towards life and sport. NGO and social workers BePART targets professionals working in the area of social integration as to link their efforts with the taekwondo sport community and to introduce to this target group a new approach to be utilized in their daily activities in combating social exclusion.
METHODOLOGY The project design is based on three major activities streams (AS), which encompass all tasks to be executed by partners, as follows: AS 1 Overall management and implementation ; AS 2 Development and Implementation of Intellectual outputs; AS 3 Dissemination;

AS 2 DEVELOPMENT AND IMPLEMENTATION OF INTELLECTUAL OUTPUTS This activity stream will unfold into two group of tasks related to the elaboration of Intellectual outputs: Intellectual output I BePART Guide Intellectual output II BePART Hub.
IO I BEPART GUIDE Developing and disseminating questionnaire. This questionnaire will enable a survey which will be undertaken in the process of BEPART methodology content devolvement. It will serve as a guideline when gathering best practices to be incorporated in the BEPART methodology content. Virtual brainstorming sessions. Developing Guide content. It will aim to develop guidance to coaches on how to approach young people at risk of social exclusion on those who suffer such and to support and navigate the latter in becoming fully fledged part of society in terms of behavioural and teaching approaches. The Guide will take into account the specific needs of the different target groups and the nature of the risks that they are exposed to. It ll include a dedicated content on how to reach out to vulnerable groups and engage them in the BePART activities and philosophy. Verification of BePART Guide Once the BePART Guide is developed a verification process shall take place in order to create an evidence base of the Guide feasibility and efficiency. Translation - Each partner shall translate into its official language the content of the Guide.
IO I BEPART GUIDE BePart Guide is designed as a collective intellectual product It will offer socially excluded or young people at risk of social exclusion a new approach through methodology which utilises the benefits of the taekwondo as a martial art in the process of dealing with social exclusion This methodology will ultimately aim to alter the mind set of both socially excluded people and people demonstrating indifference into mutual understanding and respecting The Guide will target coaches and trainers as to empower them with skills and knowledge necessary for the process of dealing with social exclusion. The Guide will target also the development of mentoring skills including such provided in digital environment The Guide will offer concrete ideas and steps for engaging more people at risk or those who suffer such as well as a training methodology for coaches and trainers.
The Guide encompasses 7 modules, which will be elaborated by the respective partner The first module will serve as a reference point for the elaboration of the rest of the modules, as it will aim to develop Methodology for combating social exclusion through sport - APIC . The core of the modules will aim to adjust the taekwondo techniques in the context of dealing with the social problem by amending different aspects of the taekwondo traditional training such as for instance including different techniques for mental growth; tailored made techniques for physical growth that considers the specific needs of the target group, etc. IO I BEPART GUIDE Each training concept will be based on three pillars which will upgrade this adjustment: Approaching (how to effectively approach target groups (); Engaging what type of activities to be primarily used, as to ensure involvement); Sustaining (what type of additional activities should be undertaken in order to secure the long-lasting engagement of the target groups)
Taekwondo for inclusion of young people with disabilities ETF - this module will constitute a tailored made methodology for teaching taekwondo and engaging young people who has disabilities though taekwondo activities, taking into account different types of disabilities and appropriate techniques to follow. Part of the research will be the analysis and best practices employed in para-taekwondo. This methodology will directly target this group and will provide sufficient knowledge on how to practice taekwondo without being professional. Special attention will be paid to both mental and physical development of the trainees from this group. IO I BEPART GUIDE- MODULES
Taekwondo for inclusion of young discriminated people and with low opportunities - CSEN likewise this module will include a tailored made methodology for teaching taekwondo and engaging young people who has low opportunities or a subject to discrimination taking into account different types of discrimination. Special attention will be paid to the approaching and sustainability aspects since in most of the cases these target group will be mainly representatives of people at risk of poverty. A focus will be put on the gender balance. Special attention will be paid to both mental and physical development of the trainees from this group, as well as on the social skills needed to tackle intolerance IO I BEPART GUIDE- MODULES

IO I BEPART GUIDE- MODULES Empowering techniques for coaches working with young discriminated people CTF This part of the BePart Guide will examine, analyse and incorporate skills and knowledge that coaches of martial arts and trainers need to possess in order to work with discriminated young people.
Mentoring skills for coaches and trainers EHSEM while the previous sections target the empowering techniques for providing training on taekwondo. This module will have more different approach that aims to provide knowledge on different soft skills needed in the mentoring process. These skills will tackle the social exclusion problem from different aspects developing self- confidence in mentees, entrepreneurship empowerment, etc. IO I BEPART GUIDE- MODULES
Hub design. This task will ensure that the platform will meet the expectations of the partnerships and the target groups. Outlining the design is the first and mandatory step before the development of the Hub. Each partner will contribute to it by providing feedback and ideas on the general functionalities and design of the Hub s platform. Hub developing. This task is related to the technical creation of the Hub in accordance with the Hub design provided by the previous tasks. Elaboration of content. The content of the Hub should incorporate one of the key benefits of the BePART Guide. At the same time the Hub must provide easy to digest information and user-friendly functionalities, which requires that the intellectual results of the project are adjusted to the specifics of the online environment in a way to preserve the guide interactive. IO II BEPART Validation. A user acceptance testing will be carried out by all partners to collect feedback on the outlook of the intellectual output. HUB Translation. Each partner shall translate into its national language the content of the Hub. Piloting. This task is related to the launch of the Hub. testing Mentoring service this task is related to the utilisation of the mentoring tools by mentors and mentees. Once the Hub is launched a process of registering mentors and mentees will be commenced. During the last seven months of the project mentors will provide mentoring service to their mentees through the Hub s platform. Each partner, shall designate at least one trainer/coach to register as a mentor on the Hub. Additionally, partners will start recruiting activities.
The hub shall include two major functionalities. On the one hand, it will incorporate flexible and user-friendly access to e-guide module, based on the BePart Guide. This module will provide an educational programme for self-learning and training. The e-guide module will have two separate training streams one for coaches and trainers and one for young people at risk. On the other hand, the e-guide will be upgraded and complimented by a special functionality for mentoring, where the target groups will be able to receive mentoring support from coaches, trainers and youth workers. Mentoring tool for separate communication Mentoring tool for group communication and collaboration The e-guide shall have visual and audio supplements. Video tutorials will be also incorporated in the e-guide in order to have maximum practical and interactive approach. One of the key contents of the e- guide will be the development of videos to be incorporated on the Hub. BTF experts will be executing this part of the content elaboration with the support of each partner. Videos will have subtitles in each of the partners official languages. IO II BEPART HUB
AS 3 DISSEMINATION Setting up visual identity. This task will be executed in the beginning of the project, by designing project s logo, deciding project s colours and developing documents templates templates for presentations, word documents, etc. The visual identity will be decided by all partners. Setting up and maintaining dissemination channels - Set up the social media profiles to popularise and communicate the project s results in the online space. It will be created BePART Facebook page, Instagram and Twitter account. It will include promotion of project outputs in digital environment via #BePARTProject Ongoing dissemination activities This task will involve the maintenance of the social media channels, as well as all activities related to the BePART events promotion in the online and offline media. Dissemination monitoring and reporting This task will involve regular review of the dissemination activities, as to monitor the progress of achieving the set indicators. It will also include the coordination of the dissemination reporting activities. BePART Network&sport day (M1) it includes all preparation and implementation activities preparing agenda; promotion of the event, inviting participants, arranging their accommodation; preparing dissemination and event materials, arranging event s logistics, including ensuring media coverage; execution of the event; reporting the event. BePART Activity day (M2) This final event will take place in Plovdiv, Bulgaria as a back to back event with the final project meeting. The participants will have the opportunity to discuss the project direct results and long-term impact, as well as possibilities for further use of the project s finding and multiplication. It includes all preparation activities preparing agenda; promotion of the event; inviting participants, arranging their accommodation; preparing dissemination and event materials; arranging event s logistics, including ensuring media coverage; execution of the event; reporting the event.
BEPART NETWORK&SPORT DAY BE PART OF ALL AND ACTIVITY DAY The event s highlight will be the elaborated BePart Guide which will be validated through the activities planned during the sport day. This event will engage all of the target groups including NGO and social workers in order to create a BePART netowork of proffessionals and to further the impact and distribution of the project through the newly established relations. All of the activities will be adjusted to the BePart Guide content in order to demonstrate it. The event s highlight will be the developed BePart Hub together with the BePart Guide. All of the activities will be adjusted to the BEPART intellectual outputs promotion and demonstration
Quantitative indicators: - number of intellectual outputs (2); - number of language versions of intellectual outputs (5); - number of young people engaged in the virtual mentoring provided by the BePART Hub (20 in each partner country - 100 in total); - number of people educated through the Hub (at least 20 from each country 100 at least) - number of young people at risk , coaches, trainers reached through dissemination activities (min. 10 000); - number of visitors to the project Hub and social media profiles (min. 5000); - number of participants in the multiplier events (min. 240); INDICATORS - number of progress reports and budget reviews (2); - number of project transnational meetings (3). Qualitative indicators: - percentage of positive feedback and satisfaction from project target groups and participants (min. 80% declare they are satisfied with the BePART Hub); - percentage of positive feedback on the elaborated BePART Guide (min. 80% are positive); - percentage of positive feedback from communication (dissemination) target audiences, reached through dissemination activities (min. 85% declare they are interested in promoting and/or exploiting the online Hub); - percentage of positive feedback from partner organisations staff, participating in project activities (min. 90% feel satisfied and motivated to continue work on maintaining and further developing the online Hub). Process indicators: - Timely implementation of tasks (minimum delay, up to 15% from initial planning);
