Empowering Youth in D-Youth Expedition Project
The D-Youth Expedition Project, implemented in partnership with EPI, Poland, aims to increase the quality of digital youth work and empower young individuals to become active citizens. Through the exchange of best practices and the creation of an e-learning toolkit for entrepreneurship, the project addresses social exclusion of youth. It focuses on sharing experiences, enhancing entrepreneurial skills, and combining offline and online methods in youth work, ultimately improving services and promoting digital youth work. This innovative project emphasizes structured sharing of experiences and capacity building, with a particular focus on engaging NEETs in Europe.

WHAT IS SDUYS? SDUY S is a University Entrance Examination for International Students who wish to study Associate s and/or Programmes and Courses in Turkey. Degree Bachelor s
GENERAL INFORMATION, BASIC PRINCIPLES AND RULES University Entrance Examination for International Students (SDU- Y S) can be taken by international students wishing to study Associate s and Bachelor s Degree programmes at S leyman Demirel University. This exam is held by the SDU-Y S Examination Coordinating Office. SDU-Y S 2018 results are valid for one year. SDU-Y S 2018 applications will be made completely online, and candidates will be able to apply in Turkish and English. SDU-Y S 2018 will take place in various exam centers at home and abroad and will be available in 7 languages: Turkish, English, Russian, German, French,Arabic and Persian. All correspondence (e-mail, post, fax, etc.) between the candidates and the SDU-Y S Coordinating Office will be done either in English, Turkish or German. SDU-Y S results are for students who wish to study in associate degree or undergraduate programmes.
GENERAL INFORMATION, BASIC PRINCIPLES AND RULES The SDU-Y S Coordinating Office does not deal with the students housing, living and scholarship requirements or residence permit formalities in Turkey. The SDU-Y S Coordinating Office does not take responsibility for or act as an intermediary in applicants passport formalities or the acquisition of required official permissions for leaving their countries in order to take the examination. Exam fees cannot be transferred to the following years. Although having paid the application fee, candidates who waive from their applications; whose applications are deemed invalid; who did not or could not take the examination for any reason whatever; who are not permitted into the exam center or who are dismissed from the exam center; who fail in the examination or whose examinations are declared invalid are not refunded. The rules stated hereby may be changed if the Council of Higher Education s possible future decisions which go into effect following the date of publication of this guide necessitate such a change. In such a case, the procedures to follow will be determined by the SDU-Y S Coordinating Office. In situations which are not specified in this guide, the SDU-Y S Coordinating Office s decisions will be decisive.
INFORMATION ON SDU-YS EXAMINATION The examination details about the exam centers, where the candidate will take the examination, will be announced by Student Affairs Office and The Chief Coordinationship for International Relations coordinately. The language of examination (Turkish, English, Russian, Arabic, French, German, and Persian) will be determined according to the applicant s choice of language during the application.
The examination consists of two parts: General Ability and Basic Learning Skills multiple choice questions. The examination questions and lasts 120 minutes (2 hours). consists of 80

WHO CAN APPLY? Who is accepted as an International Student in Turkey? Provided that the candidates are in the final year of high school or graduates; Applications of 1) Those who are of foreign nationality, 2) Those who were Turkish citizens at birth but received permission of expatriation from the Ministry of Internal Affairs, 3) Those of dual citizenship who were of foreign citizenship at birth but later adopted Turkish Republic citizenship, 4) Those who were born in Turkey and hold Turkish citizenship but completed their secondary education abroad,
5) a) Among those students of Turkish Republic citizenship who continued their secondary education in foreign countries before 1st of February 2013, the ones who have completed the last three years of secondary education (high school) in a foreign country except for TRNC* (including those who have completed all of their secondary (high school) education in Turkish schools established within the scope of MNE* in foreign countries other than TRNC) b) Among those candidates who have started their secondary education in a foreign country after 1st of February 2013, the ones who have completed all of their secondary (high school) education in a foreign country except TRNC (including those who have completed all of their secondary (high school) education in Turkish schools established within MNE* in foreign countries other than TRNC) to the foreign acceptance quotas, 6) Those with TRNC citizenship reside in TRNC and have completed their secondary education there and have the score of GCE-AL and those who enrolled colleges and high schools in other countries and have the score of GCE-AL or will have the score of GCE-AL, WILLBEACCEPTED.
WHO CANNOT? Applications of candidates Those who 1) hold TR citizenship and have completed all of their secondary education in Turkey or TRNC, 2) hold TRNC citizenship (except for those who completed all of their secondary education at high schools in TRNC and hold GCE-AL scores and those who enrolled and studied at colleges or high schools in other countries between 2005- 2010 and have or will have GCE-AL scores ) 3) hold dual citizenships whose first nationality is Turkish at birth as defined in the 2nd article of (a) subsection, except for those who provide the requirements defined in the 4th article of (a) subsection), 4) hold dual citizenships, one of which is T.R citizenship (except for those who have completed all of their secondary education at high schools in TRNC and hold GCE-AL examination results and those who enrolled at high schools in other countries between 2005-2010, studied there and hold GCE-AL examination results now,) 5) hold T.R citizenship or dual citizenships whose first citizenship is T.R at birth as defined in the 2nd article of (a) subsection and study at schools operating within the scope of embassies in Turkey and foreign high schools in Turkey, WILLNOT BEACCEPTED.
PLACEMENT PROCEDURES The fisrt priority is given to the candidates who have taken SD Y S and SAT I, ABITUR, FRENCH BACCALAUREATE, GCE-AL, ACT (American College Test) GAOKAO, internationally recognized and valid examinations and become successful. Secondly, the placement is done according to the scores of candidates, who become successful in Y S examination of Turkish Universities recognized by SDU and of those who have taken the exams in APPENDIX-2 of S leyman Demirel University Directive for Admission of International Students for Associate and Undergraduate Degree programmes (such as KANKUR, LIBANAIS) Thirdly, provided that there is enough quota, placement is made according to secondary school grade point. NOTE: It is important for all international applicants, applying to our University, to examine S leyman Demirel University Directive for International Students for Associate and Undergraduate Degree Programmes.
