Many believers struggle with a sense of unworthiness, guilt, shame, and condemnation before God
Ephesians 1:4 just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love,
Colossians 1:22 in the body of His flesh through death, to present you holy, and blameless, and above reproach in His sight
Ephesians 1:6 to the praise of the glory of His grace, by which He made us accepted in the Beloved.
1 Corinthians 6:911 9 Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, 10 nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God. 11 And such were some of you. But you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus and by the Spirit of our God.
The righteousness we have as new creation is not only God given, but it is God s very own
Romans 3:22 Even the righteousness of God, through faith in Jesus Christ, to all and on all who believe. For there is no difference;
1 Corinthians 1:30 But of Him you are in Christ Jesus, who became for us wisdom from God and righteousness and sanctification and redemption.
2 Corinthians 5:21 For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.
We have become the righteousness of God, in Christ. This is what qualifies us to fellowship with God.
Righteousness includes three aspects: right standing, right nature and right behavior
Romans 5:1-2 1 Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, 2 through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.
Romans 3:24 being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus,
Romans 5:9 Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him.
Romans 8:1 There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.
Romans 8:33 Who shall bring a charge against God s elect? It is God who justifies.
Ephesians 3:12 In whom we have boldness and access with confidence through faith in Him
Romans 5:17 For if by the one man s offense death reigned through the one, much more those who receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ.
God made me righteous freely by His grace and because of Christ s work on the Cross. This qualifies me to live joyfully without any sense of condemnation, to fellowship with my God freely and intimately, to boldly ask of Him, to reign over life s matters and to confront satan as a king and master.
