SMARTS MIL MIDDLE SCHOOL PARENTS AS EDUCATIONAL PARTNERS PEP Welcome to our 1st PEP meeting of the year!
WHAT IS PEP? The Parents as Educational Partners (PEP) programs in LCPS promotes parent involvement in the school community for parents who's primary language is not English. PEP program participants attend classes to learn about the educational system in the United States and LCPS, gaining information that Will enable them to be decision makers and advocates in their children s education.
The PEP program in LCPS meets the requirements of ELL parent participation as outlined by Title III legislation of the No Child Left Behind Act. PEP classes increase ELL parent s knowledge about the school system as a whole, while deepening their understanding of ways they can impact their children s success in school. WE HAVE MONTHLY MEETING HERE AT SMART S MILL AND HOPE YOU PARTICIPATE IN ALL OF OUR PEP MEETINGS!

Why is important that Parents attend PEP? BECAUSE YOU NEED TO BE INFORMED ABOUT SCHOOL PROCEDURES, RESOURCES AND WAYS IN WHICH YOU COULD HELP YOUR CHILD SUCCEED!
Come and meet our school personnel and be familiar with who is who at school Meet important members of our school and ask questions that matter to you and your family. Be familiar with school procedures and learn different ways in which you could make a difference at home with your child Please join us! We Will have speakers invited to our sessions and try to make it informative, productive and fun! WE HOPE TO SEE YOU IN OUR NEXT PEP MEETING!
