  1. MOSAIC WELCOME SESSION

NAME GAME INSTRUCTIONS Think of an animal that begins with the same letter of your first name TOP TIP The students or mentors further round the circle will have to remember more names as they introduce everyone who has already said their name make sure you help them out as a team! The first person to introduce themselves by saying: My name is Elle and I am an elephant The next person must then introduce themselves and the previous person. Then the third person has to introduce themselves and the other two people and so on Mosaic| 2

  3. MEET THE MENTORS Find out some information about your mentor. Remember: The group will have to introduce their mentor to the rest of the class so make sure you find out enough information! You could ask them: Name What job they do What hobbies they have Why they wanted to be a mentor Mosaic | 3

  4. COMMONALITIES Instructions: Listen to the statement Find at least one other person who has the same answer as you. TOP TIP Find out more about your groups by asking questions about the statement! Mosaic| 4

  5. GROUP CONTRACT What should be written into this group contract. Think about: How would you like to be treated whilst on the Mosaic programme? What is appropriate behaviour? Mosaic| 5

  6. REFLECTION Think about the following: What? What happened in the session today? What were your highlights and challenges? So what? So how did this make you feel? So what did you learn about yourself today? Now what? Now what can you take forward with you in your every day life? Now what do you want to get from being on the Mosaic programme? Mosaic| 6
