Lessons Learned & Challenges Lessons from crises such as EVD and COVID-19: Challenges: Sensitization during pandemic: mass media helpful but self-management of abortion requires interpersonal sensitization which is more challenging with mobility restrictions/social distancing Maintaining supply chain and avoiding disruption with borders closer Acute SRH needs in crisis: EVD/ COVID- 19 with GBV and unwanted pregnancy, unsafe abortion Decrease in visits to health facilities Challenges accessing safe abortion: pharmacies supported to offer quality services outside of health centers 5
