Find the stars (speaking,writing/listening) put students in a group They can choose any grid (e.g. A1, they would say/write Teacher moves the picture, see any stars behind the picture, if there is one, they win points This can be used to listening too, teacher say student points to A1 Activities contributed by Dartford Grammar School

  6. Meet me half way (reading and speaking) Two students in a pair Use the paper provided by the teacher (see example) One place their finger on , the other place on then start to read the words. When they are in the same box, do rock paper scissors, loser go back to the beginning. winner is the one get the other side. Activities contributed by Dartford Grammar School

  7. Guess the word (reading and writing) Teacher choose a character (e.g. ), but you only write part of it on the board, students needs to focus and find out which character you are writing. Memory Game: activity instruction Students are divided into groups of 3-4 people They are given the first page with some words missing Student representatives from each group come to the teacher s side and they have 30 seconds to look at the second page (the chart with complete characters) They go back and try to complete the chart with missing words.
