Coherent and consistent content strategy Comprehensive taxonomy, information architecture, and content governance applied to external content. Implementation of scalable infrastructure Deployment of unified Document Management System (DMS) with taxonomy and information architecture.   4. Information Transparency Initiative (ITI) Goals Create an integrated, ongoing, operational process to govern, preserve, organize, and secure ICANN's public content. Build a foundation of content governance through consistent multilingual tagging, a functional information architecture, and enforced workflows. Implement and enforce this governance through a new DMS. Deploy new workflows and processes to ensure consistent, multilingual taxonomy for greater content findability and multifaceted search capabilities. Establish a future-proof and content agnostic technology landscape. Upgrade our technical infrastructure, and thereby serve our global community better through increased findability and accessibility of multilingual content. DMS = Document Management System. CMS = Content Management System. Taxonomy = a system of classification based on vocabulary or a collection of terms (metadata) used to improve content findability. | 4

  5. ITI Goals (contd) Create and enforce content governance and increase publishing speed through distributed content management, and improve content quality. Develop a mobile first approach, ensure accessibility standards are met, and provide a translated user experience in the U.N. six languages. Surface improved content and search to stakeholders through a new content management system (CMS), which will serve as the backbone for all external ICANN properties. | 5

Improves findability, transparency, security, and quality of content. Decreases yearly maintenance costs, and consolidates 15 separate external content properties. Improves accessibility in the six U.N. languages. Ensures content is future-proof and transferable to future platforms. Helps meet our commitments, reduces financial risk. | 6

  7. ITI Status Update Completed Tasks Foundational architecture of the content management system (CMS), dotCMS, and document management system (DMS), Alfresco. Integration between the DMS and CMS. Sixty percent of the audit and taxonomy, including Board, Legal, and GDD content. Personas and user journeys. Foundational model of workflows in the DMS. Draft of the Accessibility Guidelines. Launched feedback.icann.org on 23 April 2018. Updated definitions for 250 Acronyms and Terms for a new Glossary. The new Acronyms and Terms feature will launch on the current icann.org on 30 May 2018. | 7
