  2. FS_eNS_Ph3 Objective 5 Justification Justification When the UE performs registration, the UE generates a Requested NSSAI based on the Configured S-NSSAI, Allowed NSSAI and also may take the URSP rules into account. The UE may register S-NSSAIs which are not going to be used (e.g. establish PDU session in the network slice by running applications) at once, and possibly not while registered in this RA. When NSAC for number of registered UE is deployed for the S-NSSAI and the number of registered UE has reached the Maximum value of registered UEs, this will cause additional UE to fail to register this S-NSSAI, as required by the NSAC feature. This may be perceived by operator s customers as an issue since network slice should be possible to serve as many as possible UEs. Similar considerations could possibly apply to PDU session establishment when NSAC for number of established PDU session is deployed for the S-NSSAI, since after the applications is terminated the PDU session may not be used (e.g. deliver running application traffic via the PDU sessions) by any other applications in the UE. This study should investigate possibility to take in account "usage" as part of respectively UE registration and PDU Session establishment when performing NSAC so that the network slice can serve as many as possible UEs/PDU Session when NSAC is deployed for the S-NSSAI.

  3. FS_eNS_Ph3 Objective 5 divergence point The divergence point of this bullet is whether the study should be restricted to NSAC scenario only. There are two proposals of the object description: 5a. Study whether and how to enhance the system to ensure network controlled behavior of network slice usage including UE registration and PDU Session establishment (e.g. so that when performing NSAC the network slice can serve UEs/PDU Sessions with actual activity). 5b. Study whether and how to enhance the system to ensure that network slice utilization is taken into account when performing NSAC as part of respectively UE registration and PDU Session establishment so that the network slice can serve as many as possible UEs/PDU Session when NSAC is deployed for the S-NSSAI. NOTE: It does not imply or preclude that the solution for this objective can be used in other scenarios 5b restricts the study to only NSAC scenario, 5a has no such restriction

  4. Question for SoH Can 5a be agree to add in objectives of FS_eNS_Ph3? Yes: No: Can 5b be agree to add in objectives of FS_eNS_Ph3? Yes: No:
