The Governor's Emergency Planning and Preparedness Initiative (EPPI) aims to enhance planning, communication, and response capabilities across state agencies, municipalities, and the private sector. Key goals include improving communications quality and conducting real-time exercises involving various stakeholders. Work groups are focused on areas such as energy, utilities, technology, and mass care. The initiative is also preparing planning and training products for a statewide exercise, including updated annexes and training materials. Additionally, new legislation mandates participation in civil preparedness activities. State agencies are working towards achieving exercise objectives to enhance readiness and response capabilities.
