Next Steps: Next Steps: Apply for Admissions (this is a one time only process so if your student has a Dragon Zone account already they DO NOT need to reapply) Apply at www.hutchcc.edu/apply-enroll Choose High School and click on Apply icon Submit ACT Scores or GPA or Assessment Scores to HutchCC, if needed (qualifying scores are only required if your student is wanting to take the English courses) To qualify for English Comp I Student must have a ACT English Score of 20+ OR Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher OR Accuplacer NextGen Placement Score of 255+
Important Things to Know Enrollment: HutchCC staff will enroll you as soon as assessment scores are verified. High School students cannot enroll themselves online. Please make sure your HS counselor is aware of the course(s) you would like to be enrolled in. Drop/Refund/Withdraw: Information regarding deadlines for drop/refund/withdraw can be found on your schedule in your DragonZone account. Course schedule changes MUST be done with both your HS counselor and HutchCC. Textbooks: Please note: We will send out more detailed information for the 2024-25 academic year to your HS counselors later this Spring. Textbook information and estimated prices for any classes other than the blended online options can be accessed through your DragonZone account. You can purchase your textbook(s) by coming to the Campus Store in McPherson or ordering your textbook(s) over the phone by calling the Campus Store at 620-665-3517 and requesting they be shipped to your home for an additional fee. Please make sure you have your textbook(s) for your HutchCC course(s) by the start date of the course.
CONFIRMING YOUR INTENT: Log in to Dragon Zone once you ve been enrolled in your courses each semester Complete any profile and informational screens that pop-up. Read the screens carefully and follow on screen instructions. Confirming your intent locks in your course schedule and obligates you financially for your courses. If the confirm intent box doesn't pop up when you first log in you may need to answer the data element questions before you can confirm your intent. You can also check the bell icon at the top of your screen and you should see a notification to click on to confirm intent. Keep your Username and Password in a safe place, you will need this information to access your grades, check your HutchCC E-Mail, print statements, etc. You must confirm your intent to receive college credit for your transcript.
Paying for your course Tuition Payment: After confirming intent, billing statements can be viewed in your DragonZone account under the FINANCE tab and a paper bill for your HutchCC course(s) will be mailed directly to your home to your attention. Payment can be made online or at the McPherson Center. A payment plan can be set up online through your Dragon Zone account under Finances>Account. Courses covered under Excel in CTE are tuition free. A delay in payment could result in late fees being assessed to your account. Tuition for the 2024-2025 school year has not been determined as of tonight High School students are only charged tuition per credit hour and not normal student fees There is a set fee charged per blended course There is a per credit hour fee charged for online courses Courses covered under Excel/CTE are tuition free once intent is confirmed
