Education Bachelor's degree in Natural Sciences with the Thesis "The altitudinal temperature lapse rates in the stations of the North- western Alps focused on the study of altitudinal temperature lapse rates on the mountain slopes of the Alpine territory. Master's degree in Environmental Biology with the Thesis "Plant biodiversity as a part of Piedmont Regional Strategy on Climate Change: knowledge, impacts and measures . It had the aim to let a first sectoral analysis of climate change impacts for the Piedmontese Regional Strategy (SRCC). Employment and main activities Research fellow - Regione Piemonte
Other interests (volunteer work, hobbies etc.) My big passion are education and nature. So, in my spare time I try to join them, doing activities with mountain children. I love mountains too, climbing and hiking but I think it's important too making soft sport. I do yoga. I m really scared of Environmental problems, therefore I am an activist in Legambiente and in Extinction Rebellion.
Presentation of a project you are working on: "Knowledge and environmental effects of Climate Change in Piedmont - drafting of the Regional Strategy" 1/3 Analysis of the impacts of climate change on biodiversity and forests on a regional scale. In particular, the study is on the Piedmont area and focuses on indicators of impact, sensitivity, hazard, adaptive capacity and risk. The project is based on climate trends and future climate scenarios developed by Arpa Piemonte. The main aim is to quantify and territorialize the impact. Consequently, it will be possible to make proposals of measures and actions for the Regional Strategy on Climate Change.
Presentation of a project you are working on 2/3 In particular, right now, I m trying to quantify the impact of climate change on plant biodiversity (with indicators and models) and I m trying to understand the way to advance effective measures to minimize the impact of climate change on this environmental matrix. In the near future, I will do the same for animal biodiversity, taking into consideration many different taxa and finally also for the forest sector.
Presentation of a project you are working on 3/3 My activity consists, in particular, in putting together scientific knowledge and the many excellent research and monitoring activities present in Piedmont. Only by coordinating and collaborating will it be possible to focus on the best methodologies for adapting to climate change.
