Ericsson Delay Spread vs Hall Volume Study 2018
Explore Ericsson's internal study on delay spread versus hall volume in industrial halls, including parameter proposals and their alignment with the model. Discover how different proposals impact the model's validity.

Delay spread vs hall volume Ericsson Internal | 2018-02-21
Background (1) In R1-1905202 in Xi an, Ericsson and CEA-LETI compiled all contributions on RMS delay spread in Industrial halls Based on the compilation, Ericsson proposed a model for the delay spread that is dependent on the hall volume Ericsson Internal | 2018-02-21
Background (2) In the email discussion [97-NR-10] different proposals on LSP parameters including DS have been collected Includes the hall volume-dependent function but also proposals based on new measurements and simulations The purpose of this presentation is to see whether these proposals support or contradict the volume- dependent model proposal Ericsson Internal | 2018-02-21
Parameter proposals converted to 99th percentile For a Gaussian distribution, the 99th percentile is equal to the mean + 2.33 times sigma: lgDS+2.33* lgDS Using the LSP DS proposals in [97-NR-10] and the HHI contribution to the F2F, the 99th percentiles in NLOS have been estimated as follows: Source Hall volume, V [m3] Estimated 99th percentile DS [ns] Notes ZTE 360000 260-300 Ray-tracing CMCC 42000 338-382 Hall volume unknown DOCOMO Data already included in previous compilation CEA-LETI ? 192 Hall volume unknown Huawei: Shanghai 150000 316 Sigma not given, have assumed 0.18 Huawei: Munich 2875 71-107 Sigma not given, have assumed 0.18 Fraunhofer HHI + IIS 8126-65541 30-270 Hall sizes taken from arxiv paper DS is increasing with Tx height and frequency Ericsson Internal | 2018-02-21
Adding these proposals to the plot of DS vs hall volume Huawei: Shanghai Fraunhofer HHI + IIS ZTE CMCC New proposals in red These proposals appear to be reasonably aligned with the model CEA-LETI results can be included as well if hall volume can be supplied Huawei: Munich Ericsson Internal | 2018-02-21
