COUNTY LEAGUE RULES 15 YO 8th graders allowed to play, but not pitch Home team provides umpires should be at least 15 years old and game balls Each team to provide scorekeeper Special designation for travel ball players. Only allowed in American league No more than 15 players per team American League is the strongest league, then National, then Pacific Each player must play 2 innings If 2 teams in District, one team must play in American league Games cannot end in a tie If catcher drop on 3rd strike, the batter may run to 1st if less than 2 outs and 1st is open. The batter may proceed to 1st regardless if open if there are 2 outs Team needs minimum of 7 players to play. Team fields 10 players, except 13-14, which field 9 No infield fly rule for ages 7-8 and 9-10 For 7-8, the field includes a 16 circle around the mound. The play is dead when the ball breaks the plane of that circle. 2-hour game limit for all games 6 innings (7-8, 9-10), 7 innings (11-12, 13-14) 4 innings constitutes a game (7-8, 9-10), 5 innings constitutes a game (11-12, 13-14) No DH

  7. COUNTY LEAGUE RULES Coach pitch for 7-8s. Batter is out on 3 strikes or 7 pitches with no hits, unless 7th pitch is a foul Consecutive batting order is used in 7-8. Optional for older groups. If player does not bat for any reason the team is assessed an out Stealing of home is only allowed in 13-14 15 run mercy rule. 5 run per inning rule. 9-10 4 innings pitched per game / no limit for older age group 9-10 National and Pacific . No walks / hybrid kid and coach pitch / no stealing while coach pitch 13-14 NFHS rules 11-12, 13-14 may run on 3rd strike if dropped 9-10 runners may steal 2nd or 3rd after ball crosses plate 11-12 runners may steal 2nd and 3rdafter ball leaves pitcher s hand 13-14 runners may steal 2nd and 3rdand home after ball leaves pitcher s hand Slide rule must slide if ball is in catcher s hands. Do not need to avoid fielder, but cannot run over player Protests denoted in scorebook and submitted to league within 72 hours with $20 protest fee

  8. COUNTY LEAGUE RULES Coach in league for 2+ years may put child on team Travel ball players must plan in A division. The season of any team with an ineligible player can be forfeited by League Board President Any player may move up one division. If desiring to move up two divisions, must submit petition to Board for approval. No team may have more than 15 players, with no more than 7 12 year olds in Majors and no more than 7 10 year olds in Minors. If 2 teams in District, one must play in A division All districts must field 1 minor A and 1 major A team Ball = little league approved or better. Bat = <32 or 2 5/8 no BBCOR bats allowed All fielders should use leather gloves no larger than 14 or 8 across palm, of one color and not white or gray 2 hour time limit for all games. Each game should include an official scorer from each team 4 innings constitutes a game 15 run mercy rule Minor C coach pitch (not awarded first base when hit). No walks Minor/Major 3 inning max, 6 innings per week removed after 2 hit players in inning

  9. COUNTY LEAGUE RULES Minors and Majors: Baserunners may steal 2nd and 3rd after pitch as crossed homes plate Stealing home is not allowed unless catcher puts ball in play. May take home on pass ball or wild pitch Runner may take one extra base on any errant throw First base is not granted on dropped 3rd strike Minor C: no stealing; only advance base when ball put in play by batter No called strikes. 7 pitches or 3 strikes Slide rule - must slide if ball is in catcher s hands. Do not need to avoid fielder, but cannot run over player Protest only on violation or interpretation of playing rule or ineligible player. Must submit to office within 72 hours and pay $20 fee. Game cannot end in a tie
