HOSA-Future Health Professionals Parent Meeting for Overnight Trips
State Leadership State Leadership Conference Conference Atlanta, GA Feb. 28-Mar 2 Students must have a competitive event in order to attend Approximate Cost - $ 225.00 due 01/22 3 night stay at Mariott Marquis Atlanta Will need money for 3 breakfast, 3 lunch, 3 dinner
Agenda https://www.georgiahosa.org/ There is a high school agenda and a separate middle school agenda Middle school will not be allowed to attend the dance on Friday night. There will be a game night for middle school.
Clothing Clothing All attire must be within RCBOE/ARJ dress code HOSA Dress Code Guide Dress Code Poster According to Competitive Event Guideline Black or Blue business suit White Shirt/Blouse Closed toe dress shoes
Buddy Assignments Buddy Assignments Each person will have a "buddy" NO ONE SHOULD EVER BE ALONE Girls sit with Girls Boys sit with Boys
4/room Curfew will be 11:00pm No visitors of the opposite sex in rooms Any student found in violation of curfew or rules could be disqualified from competitive events Parents may be asked to come pick up the student Room Room Assignments Assignments
Medication Medication Administration Administration If a student has a medication prescribed or OTC-, it should be given to Mrs. Harris Must be in the original prescription bottle with clear instructions on how it should be dispensed
We must have all parent contact information In the event of an emergency, safety is our first priority. 1 chaperone will tend to the student, 1 chaperone will be contacting parent, 1 chaperone will be contacting Dr. Driggers All permission forms must be signed and notarized (this will take place at the face- to-face parent conference) Permission to seek medical attention Emergency Procedures
Conduct Expectations Conduct Expectations All RCBOE/ARJ rules apply Must be on your very best behavior- WE ARE REPRESENTING ARJ Minor offenses will be dealt with on site or upon return to ARJ Disrespect, etc. Major offenses will result in parents coming to get student from Atlanta or Athens Leaving hotel, etc.
