1. Read lab procedures carefully before beginning any experiment. 2. Dress appropriately: tie long hair back, remove dangling jewelry, wear closed-toe shoes, no shorts or bare midriffs. 3. Be aware of the location of the nearest fire extinguisher, eye-wash, and safety shower. Know evacuation routes for the building you are in. BE PREPARED
1. Follow use and disposal directions carefully when using chemicals. Your instructor will tell you when safety equipment, such as gloves or goggles, are required. 2. Handle plants and animals with care and respect. 3. Be conscientious when using electrical equipment, sharp tools, and glassware. Report any issues to your instructor. 4. Absolutely NO FOOD OR DRINK at any time. FOLLOW DIRECTIONS
