  3. Travelling is often fun. But when its not, it can be quite stressful. PREPARING - Don t forget to Don t forget to pack your pack your sense of sense of humour humour While you can buy pretty much everything you need, it s always good to be prepared for any hiccups that might take place along the journey. The better prepared you are, the better you ll manage to keep your sense of humour and have fun. Has anyone got a travel story/ lesson to share

  4. Before you go - Money - Notify your bank if you plan on using credit cards to let them know you are travelling so that they don t cancel your card if you use it from a foreign location. Real story! You can get currency USD before you leave, which you will have to exchange for local currency, Thai Baht (THB) when you arrive. You can generally use ATMs to withdraw local currency quicker and easier than bureau change, though there is also a charge. Check with your bank Credit cards are widely accepted, but carrying cash for street vendors and smaller shops is a good idea. - - -

  5. Things get lost, stolen or break - Back up all of your documents, photo s etc. It is heartbreaking to lose your gadget with all of your memories Make sure you will be able to access your data if you lose one of your gadgets. Go manual keep a list of important phone numbers

  6. FOR THE TRIP Carry-on luggage - All valuables - Anything you can t live without for 2 to 3 days, eg. chronic meds, clean underwear, toiletries etc. in case your luggage gets lost.

  7. Dont forget Don t forget Medication (in box/with prescription) Electronics chargers - If possible, get a travel adapter (we can share) Headphones Vaccination certificate (COVID 19), no others required Masks will be mandatory

What to expect A space to celebrate, come together, heal, learn, connect in solidarity and resistance It is the largest global feminist gathering - the space is very big There will be approx. 3500 feminists in the space 100 s sessions over 4 days using several formats A celebration of diversity - AWID Forums are known for being radical last Forum s sex worker fashion show It can be a little chaotic and overwhelming preparation is key (has everyone checked the App?)

  13. In preparation Develop your agenda in the App your wish list of sessions and spaces you want to participate in you may not be able to attend them all simple to do on the App . Some sessions get full, so have a couple of backup options for sessions. Work around the time needed to woman the WOSSO booth develop a schedule

How we navigate - Make our own selection of sessions and spaces we want to participate in Main track that we could go together is the backlash, though I see only about 4 sessions on this (incl sp) Spend day one together orienting ourselves, helping one another navigate the very large space and then Have certain touch points for reconnection and sharing/ helping Maybe a buddy system? - - - -
