  4. Introduction Globalization, triggered a rapid expansion of multinational corporations (MNCs) to every corner of the planet. Multinationals structured global value chains by relocating purchase, sales, support and product development activities to locations where they could be done better, faster or cheaper Because of this many new dilemmas and ethical issues have developed. 4

  6. 1) Labor Standards Companies in developed economies began to relocate production facilities in emerging countries to cut labor costs. Child labor is an especially critical issue. In some emerging economies, child labor is common and even essential for the subsistence of the child. Differences in worker safety standards. 6

  7. 2) Environmental Standards Technological progress triggered exponential growth in human ability to alter the environment due to the use of natural resources in societies with poor environmental regulations. Ex. Texaco / Ecuador Forest Deepwater Horizon Oil Spill / Gulf of Mexico 7

  8. 3) Human Rights Corporations sometimes face dilemmas linked to operations in countries with governments accused of violating human rights. Ex. Polaroid / South Africa 8

  9. 4) Cultural Diversity Principles of international law hold that corporations ought to respect the customs and culture of the communities where they Gender equality. It is frequent that anti-discrimination standards clash with traditional customs or religious practice.

  10. 5) Corruption Corruption is a concept that ranges from multi-million dollar payments to high government officials to a few dollars bribe to a low-level bureaucrat. Bribery in foreign operations was not always considered morally wrong.

  12. To conclude, globalization promotes and increases interactions between different regions and populations around the globe, however with all the benefits it brings it can create moral and ethical dilemmas since regulations, norms, and religions are different in each country. 12
