Rapid Value Chain Assessment Toolkit for rapid Value Chain Assessment in Ethiopia was refined multi-disciplinary gender sensitive toolkit for SR VCA available online Training of partners on toolkit for rapid VCA and for Food safety assessments 5-8 November in Addis 20-23 November in Hawassa Field implementation of rapid VCA end Nov-Jan 2012 Draft Report writing by NARS partners in Jan-Feb 2013 Write-shop to complete VCA reports 25-27 February 2013 Further revisions of VCA reports: draft versions of 8 VCA reports available
Intervention planning Results from VCA reports were used for identifying key constraints and opportunities along the whole VC identifying main market channels for better targeting identifying and involving important VC actors in VC development Three Multi-Stakeholder Planning (Res vs Dev, Who, How, when )meetings to identify best bet interventions 14-15 March in Addis (Highland sheep: Horro, Menz, Doyogana) 19-20 March in Mekelle (Atsbi, Abergelle, Sekoto) 2-3 April in Debre Zeit (Shinelle and Borana) Consolidation of intervention plans across sites and planning by VCD team in Addis in consultation with partners - on-going
