Legal developments: European Union Export Control Industry Forum The future of the dual-use trade controls On 23 October 2014 July, the Italian Presidency of the Council and the Commission organised the Export Control Industry Forum that provided opportunities for discussions between representatives from Member States, key industry associations and civil society organisations. European Commission EU control list updated On 30 December 2014, Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) No. 1382/2014 came into effect amending Council Regulation 428/2009 setting up a Community regime for the control of exports, transfer, brokering and transit of dual-use items. The Delegated Regulation updates the control list in Annex I of the Regulation. Legal developments: International Wassenaar Arrangement On 2 and 3 December 2014, the Wassenaar Arrangement held its plenary session. United States Debut of Consolidated Screening List Search Tool On 20 November 2014, the Department of Commerce debuted a web-based search tool to help U.S. companies easily search the Consolidated Screening List (CSL), a streamlined collection of nine different screening lists compiled by the U.S. Departments of Commerce, State, and the Treasury. The CSL contains the names of over 8,000 individuals and companies with whom a U.S. company may not be allowed to do business due to U.S. export regulations, sanctions, or other restrictions. 7 Information: http://export.gov/ECR/
