Adoption of national Roma strategic frameworks 17 Member States have adopted and submitted their national strategic frameworks. 9 Member States have ongoing strategies an expired strategy or an integrated set of policy measures and have been asked to complete a questionnaire for the purpose of the assessment. 1 Member State does not participate in the implementation of the EU Roma Strategic Framework.

  6. Commission assessment The assessment exercise carried out by the Commission has covered the main elements of the EU Roma Strategic Framework, such as: The three horizontal objectives (equality, inclusion and participation), The four sectoral objectives (education, employment, health and housing), Monitoring and reporting mechanisms, Funding for the implementation of the national Roma strategic frameworks, Enlargement countries. The adoption of the assessment report is expected by the end of 2022.

  7. State of play and next steps A ten-year policy framework, recognising that tackling discrimination and exclusion requires long-term commitments Member States have set out their national measures in their national Roma strategic frameworks. Commission will publish its assessment of the national strategic frameworks in December 2022. Member States will report on implementation every two years from 2023. Commission will publish biennial implementation reports from 2024, based on Member States and civil society reporting and FRA surveys.
