Jean Monnet Activities 2017. Call EAC/A03/2016 Jean Monnet Projects: Jean Monnet Projects support innovation, cross-fertilisation and the spread of European Union content. "Innovation" projects explore new angles and different methodologies to make EU subjects more attractive and adapted to various populations "Cross-fertilisation" projects promote discussion and reflection on EU issues and enhance knowledge about the Union and its processes "Spread content" projects concern information and dissemination activities. EURIPER Initial Meeting Universidade de Santiago de Compostela Santiago de Compostela, October 28th 2017 Co-funded by the Erasmus+ programme of the European Union Project Main Results: The establishment of a transnational academic and research network in the field of EU regional and innovation policies, with a particular focus on less developed and peripheral regions. A detailed account of EU innovation and regional policies affecting the innovation capacity and performance of regions since the establishment of the Union until nowadays and an initial analysis of the impact of major EU innovation policies on the innovative performance of EU regions, particularly less developed regions. A master-level course guide on EU regional and innovation policies aiming at spreading the reflections and discussions on this topic at the (higher) educational level in the EU. Training on EU innovation and regional policies for at least 45 master s students through the creation of a virtual course which will be included in the curricula of three master degrees from the partner universities. A book about EU regional and innovation policies and less developed regions aiming at spreading the reflections and discussions on this topic both the civil society and political levels in the EU. EURIPER Initial Meeting Universidade de Santiago de Compostela Santiago de Compostela, October 28th 2017 Co-funded by the Erasmus+ programme of the European Union Project Main Activities: Research and academic work aiming at developing the map of EU innovation and regional policies and at studying their relationship with the integration process and their impact on the innovation performance of regions, particularly less developed regions, as well as at elaborating and editing both the course guide, the book and the papers. Creation of a virtual course on EU innovation and regional policies which will be included in the curricula of three master degrees from the partner universities and it will be offer as optional during the second year of the project. Five workshops aiming at establishing the academic and research transnational network and at discussing and elaborating EURIPER expected outcomes. Celebration of an international conference, the 1stEURIPER International Conference, where the main outcomes of the project will be presented together with other contributions in the field. EURIPER Initial Meeting Universidade de Santiago de Compostela Santiago de Compostela, October 28th 2017 Co-funded by the Erasmus+ programme of the European Union Research Activities: Research Activity 1: The European integration process and regional and innovation policies This activity will investigate the formation and evolution of both regional and innovation policies from a European Integration perspective, i.e. we aim to establish the connection between the general political process of EU integration and the particular cases of these two EU policies. Responsible Team: USC Research Activity 2: A detailed account of EU regional and innovation policies A concise map of all EU innovation and regional policies affecting innovation at EU regions will be carried out. Responsible Team: USC Research Activity 3: EU regional and innovation policies impact An analysis of the impact of major EU innovation policies on the innovative performance of EU non-core regions will be developed. We will also explore into the links between the European Integration Process and the evolution of regional inequalities within the EU. Responsible Team: USC (Proposal) Research Activity 4: Regional and innovation policies at peripheral regions: a comparative analysis An analysis of the regional development and innovation policies applied at the regions of Agder, Apulia, Malopolska and Galicia will be carried out.
