  6. EURISOL DF WG4 Spectrometers & Detectors ACTION 2 : Identification of substantial R&D needed in future & possible collaboration with industrial partners 1) Developments related to the handling of high intensity RIBs Spectroscopy study Radiation hardness particle detector development MR-ToF-MS 2) Generic electronics & DAQ (electronic coupling, standard data format, high rate and large bandwidth electronic readout and network system, common clock hardware distribution and interface, common data center, common data analysis package, ) 3) New detector(s), new concept specific for EURISOL-DF Report in preparation DF DF

  7. EURISOL DF WG4 Spectrometers & Detectors Action 3: Proposed an EURISOL_DF Instrumentation Coordination Committee (EICC) The EURISOL_DF Instrumentation Coordination Committee (EICC) will ensure inter-facility and inter-collaboration of various R&D programs, construction and operation of the instrumentation for EURISOL_DF. The role of the EICC is to reinforce the synergies and coordinate efforts between the facilities and the major collaborations on existing and new detectors in order to carry on R&D and to reach construction milestones and coordinate the coupling of different detection systems for the experimental campaigns at all RIB facilities which are members of EURISOL_DF. The EURISOL_DF steering committee defines the scientific and technical strategies as an input to the EICC. The steering committee defines the scientific campaign to be scheduled and organised by the EICC, as well as the R&D on future instrumentation, accelerator technology and ions beam manipulation funded by the EURISOL_DF collaboration. DF DF

  8. EURISOL DF WG4 Spectrometers & Detectors The EICC ensures supervision and coordination of the R&D strategy The EICC is the place for exchange of information on progress in the R&D, test, achievement and construction plus operation of the various instrumentation. The EICC gathers the representatives of the EURISOL_DF instruments to ensure an optimum coordination and preparation of the experimental campaign and of the dedicated in-beam test for detector technology. The EURISOL_DF collaboration via its steering committee supports financially post-docs (Physics and Engineer), infrastructures and beam time dedicated to EURISOL_DF instruments in the EURISOL_DF partners facilities. Dedicated beam time will be allocated to the EURISOL_DF collaboration in the partners facilities. Assuming 3 major experimental campaigns supported by the EURISOL_DF collaboration running in parallel in at least two distinguish facilities, A number of post-doc contracts must be funded per year (300 k ), 300 k dedicated to R&D and 300 k for running and operation of the campaign.
