Reminder IENWG brings to life the MoU signed in 2012 by the EC and the IHO which ensures a continuing liaison between the 2 sides in areas of common interest The IENWG is composed of representatives from RHCs France was elected as chair at the last meeting IENWG11 (2-3 December 2020) IRCC13 VTC, 23 25 June, 2021
Activities since the IRCC12 meeting IENWG11 (2-3 December 2020) by VTC 22 delegates from 15 Member States (Belgium, Croatia, Denmark, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Ireland, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Romania, Spain and Sweden) and IHO secretariat By correspondence with the IENWG members and beyond European HOs IRCC13 VTC, 23 25 June, 2021
33000 DTM tiles downloaded in 2020 by a large range of users Projects led by GEBCO/TSCOM Chair (FR) 15 European HOs and several research institutes involved Higher resolution DTM released early 2021 (33000 tiles downloaded in 2020) New World Base Layer (EBWBL) service: a worldwide coveragewith GEBCO and EMODnet Bathymetry data EMODnet Open Conference (14-18 June 2021): more need for qualified and standardized marine data. European Directive 2019/1024 Re-use of public sector information Implementation may include beyond data the dissemination for free and without charges of products such as ENCs This may impact the economic models of some European HOs IENWG and other European HOs coordinate closely on the implementation instruction IRCC13 VTC, 23 25 June, 2021
