WHY? Location (Less Transition Time) Space Gain 1 class but gain 2 teachers and 2 rooms.
Smaller class sizes w/ flooding for 6th-8th. 6th Grade Split for English, Math, Science. (Was already happening) 7thGrade Split for English and Math. (New) 8thGrade Split for English and Math. (New)
Build in more reading minutes for 6th-8thgrade. All 7th/8thgraders get to take both elective courses. Ag and Technology & Engineering.
1stPeriod 6th: Math or English 7th/8th: Study Hall, Band, Weight Training, or Band & Weight Training. 2ndPeriod 6th: Math or English 7th/8th: Technology, Ag, and Reading Highlighted Class is Q1.
3rdPeriod 6th: Science or Choir/Physical Education 7th: English or Math 8th: Social Studies 4thPeriod 6th: Science or Choir/Physical Education 7th: Social Studies 8th: English or Math
5thPeriod 6th: Social Studies 7th: English or Math 8th: Science 6thPeriod 6th: Reading/Spelling 7th: Science 8th: English or Math
