A Day at the Zoo
Planning which day you will go to the zoo 1.Choose a date for you trip to the zoo. Mark it on your calendar. 2.What is the date of this day? 3.What day will it be? 4.How many weeks are there in this month? 5.What day does this month end on? 6.What day will the 1st of the next month be? 7.What season will you be going in? 8.If I went two weeks later, what would the date be? I can read a calendar to identify the date, day, week and events I know the months that are in each season
Your Day ... You will be so excited on this day that you will probably be up early! Plan some television viewing between 7:00am and 8:30am. Record: Start Time Finish Time Chanel Program I can read simple time tables.
At the Zoo What will you do when you get to the zoo? 1. Using the timetable, plan which daily talks you will attend. 2. Record whether this event happens in am or pm. 3. Mark each talk on the map. Talk Location Time I can read simple timetables I can use am and pm to show the time of day
Getting There . Using the train timetable, plan which train you will take from Cranbourne Train Station getting off at Flinders Street Station. Time of Departure Time of Arrival I can read more complex timetables
Duration of time How long do things go for? 1. For each television program you will watch, work out how long it will go for. 2. For each zoo talk you will attend, work out how much time their will be between each talk. Activity/Program Time it starts Time it finishes Duration of time
