What is Early Middle College? The high school EMC model provides students with the opportunity to receive a high school diploma while working towards an advanced certificate, an associate s degree or up to 62 transferable credits. The model provides qualified students a tuition free option to begin college/career aspirations during their junior year of high school.
Partnership with Delta College allowing student to complete college course on Hemlock s campus for the 11thand 12th grade years. All courses taken in the EMC program are transcribed as concurrent credit and count for both high school and college credit. Our program is designed as a three year program with students completing their 3rd/13thyear enrolled full time on any of Delta College s campus.
Students will have their official graduation delayed until the end of the 13thyear but are able to participate in all senior events and graduation ceremonies as normal during their regular 12thgrade year.
