More information about our school and opportunity More information about our school and opportunity We are really excited to advertise these newly created positions which will add capacity to our leadership team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking for the next step in their teaching career and to work in a popular two-form entry primary school and nursery. Barry Primary has recently emerged from a period of instability. We are now keen to expand our leadership team to help us to continue our improvement journey, and build on the strong foundations we are establishing. Our ideal candidate will have experience of working in at least two primary schools, with teaching experience in a minimum of two of the year groups within the phase. They will be looking for a new challenge and maybe a first senior leadership position. They will be resilient and resourceful, but equally importantly empathetic, caring passionately about our children, our parents and our wider school community. They will also be willing to regularly go the extra mile to mentor and nurture everyone in their sphere of influence, always being ready to give credit where it s due, but also prepared to engage in those difficult conversations that are unavoidable in a school striving to be the very best it can be. Through this unwavering desire to set even higher standards and make substantial, meaningful progress the Barry team aims to develop the school into a centre of excellence providing outstanding educational training opportunities. We firmly believe that leadership of the kind we need is impossible without constant visibility, so our phase leaders will be hands-on, using their outstanding interpersonal skills to calmly and competently uphold Barry s values at the school gates, in the classrooms and everywhere else where their sensitive and level-headed approach will add value. The leadership team and school will continue to benefit from working with an Associate Headteacher who can draw on extensive experience of our school and many others of different sizes and types, our new leadership team will also be surrounded by a team of talented, dedicated staff, and by polite, positively engaged children with a thirst for learning that is actively encouraged by supportive parents.
