HSC Employee Educational Reimbursement Offers full-time, benefits-eligible faculty and staff up to $5,000/fiscal year for tuition expenses from an accredited institution of higher education (public or private).   7. Work Hours The work week is from Sunday to Saturday Texas state law sets the minimum work week for regular full-time salaried employees at 40 hours 40 hours. Standard work hours for HSC are Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm. Your schedule may be different depending on the department or clinic. If working fewer than 40 hours in a work week, you may be docked if you have no leave time available. If flexing your schedule, it must be done within the same work week. Sunday to Saturday.

Longevity Pay Full-time staff (excluding faculty and law enforcement) are eligible for longevity pay. $20/month for each 24 months of service All Texas state service applies (including student and hourly employment). After 24 months of service, longevity pay begins on the first day of the following month and is taxable.

  22. Direct Deposit You should have enrolled in DUO during your electronic onboarding. DUO utilizes multifactor authentication to help eliminate cyber threats and ensure that your personal information remains private. You can also establish an additional direct deposit authorization into a second bank account. If you do not elect direct deposit, you can opt to be paid with a Brinks Skylight Money Card. Employees making less than $30,000/year can elect semi-monthly pay (1st and 15th of each month) within their first month of employment. Outside or Dual Employment Outside employment (working at any employer) or dual employment (working at another state agency) as an employee at HSC is permitted if: It does not interfere with your work at HSC Your official capacity or connection with HSC is not used in connection with such outside employment It involves a reasonable amount of time, involvement and duration It does not conflict with any law or constitutional provision or possess a reasonable potential for such conflict. It avoids competition with legitimate private enterprises
