Your Task The classroom will be split in half the right side of the room will be tasked with identifying the causes of European Exploration and Colonization using textbook pages 22-25 The left side of the room will be tasked with identifying the effects of European Exploration and Colonization of the Americas using pages 26-31

Christopher Columbus On his second day in the Americas Columbus wrote I have been very attentive and have tried very hard to find out if there is any gold here. Additionally he later wrote: It was my wish to bypass no island without taking possession. In every place I have entered. Islands and lands, I have always planted a cross Your Highness will order a city built in these regions [for] these countries will be easily converted.
