English 11 1/2/3 From the SRHS Course Selection Handbook: Level 1 for students with an exceptional talent and/or interest in the subject with at least an 85% in Grade 10 Level 2 for students with good study and work ethic skills, average to above-average ability and interest in the subject area with at least 70% in Grade 10 Level 3 for students interested in the basic, practical aspects of the subject level 3 courses may be eligible to apply to some programs at post secondary institutions

  4. Most important decision Each year students end up feeling stress or anxiousness because they don t end up in the right level. Your English teacher will recommend what level you take to be written on your course selection planning sheet that will also be signed by your parents.

  5. Canadian Literature 120 Promote an interest in important Canadian Literature and other creative texts and to explore Canadian Identity through a variety of literary texts

  6. Journalism 120 A writing course with emphasis on communicative skills, principles of journalistic expression and the practice of both Practice in writing and editing for brevity and clarity

  7. Theatre Arts 120 Students will read and interpret scripted drama, learn how to analyze scripted drama, and learn how to stage and perform scripted and improvised drama

  8. Writing 110 Students will use personal, expository, and creative writing Often uses a collaborative and peer based approach

  9. Psychology 120 English Level 2 and Biology Level 2 recommended Fast paced course that usually discusses the following units: Science and History of Psychology Memory The Brain Sensation and Perception Learning Personality Intelligence Psychological Disorders and Treatments Social Psychology
