B. a) The Amazon river flows through Peru, Brazil, Venezuela, Ecuador and Bolivia. b) A thick rainforest called the Amazon rainforest surrounds the Amazon river. c) Zaid needs the medicated creams to deal with insects such as scorpions, ticks and spiders that are found in large numbers in the forest.

I) There are so many different species of birds and animals in the Amazon forest because the forest provides food and shelter to animals and birds and acts as a shield against human encroachment and poaching. 2) It is located at the equator. The river bed is saucer shaped and all the water that falls in the river basin flows in to the Amazon river. 3) Zaid s dream is to go on an expedition to the Amazon. 3. Zaid is brave and adventurous.
