CIRCULATORY SYSTEM BY: Luc a, D dac, Pau.D i Sergi
COMPONENTS The main organs of the circulatory System are: Heart and Blood vessels.
FUNCTION Its function is to distribute the blood to the organs.
HOW IT WORKS? The heart distributes the blood through all the blood vessels of the body. It carries oxygen and nutrients in the cells and drains carbon dioxide and other nutrients.
INTERESTING FACTS -We have around 96 km of blood cells -We have 125km of circulatory System -The heart stops when we sneeze -The heart beats 70 times for minute and 3.000 millions times through life
QUESTIONS ? HYPOTESIS RESULTS 1-Luc a- Why everyone has different red blood color? Hypothesis: We think that it depends on our alimentation Results: Blood changes the color according to the platelets. If you have it thicker, you will have it darker and if you have the blood more liquid you will have the blood more clear (It depends on the platelets and if you have it more thicker or liquid) 2- Sergi- If you smoke, will the blood change its color? Hypothesis: We think that it changes a little bit -Results: The blood won t change the color if you smoke
3- Ddac- How much blood have we got? Hypothesis: We think that it depends on the person. More or less 6L Results: There are enough blood in the human body to fill a bit more than 4,5 l approx. The average adult has about 4.5 to 5.5 liters of blood circulating inside their body. 4- Pau- Why have we got cells in the blood? Hypothesis: Each cell performes a different function. -Results: White blood cells are the body s defense against infections and strange that enter the system. Red blood cells: Carry out the function of transporting oxygen from lungs to the tissue and returning to the lungs with carbon dioxide for exhaling. Platelets: Work to clot the blood when a blood vessels are ruptured
