  1. GROUP - A Ali Rahimi Bini Alemu Adib Alim Khairul Hafiz R & D Oral Presentation

  2. Overview Who We are Design Overview Energy Analysis Propeller Configuration

  3. Who We are Ali Rahimi .Team Leader Adib Alim ..Designer Bini Alemu .Programmer Khairul Hafiz...Documentation

  4. Design Overview Our group focus is to design an AEV using as little components as possible. As a result, we want to Reduce the overall weight, Reduce power consumption and Reduce cost to build it.

  5. Introduction To produce an Advanced Energy Vehicle that is autonomous, propeller driven, electric motor powered along a monorail track. R&D Topics Energy Analysis Propeller Configuration

  6. Energy Analysis

  7. Energy Analysis motorSpeed(4,30); goFor(4); motorSpeed(4,0); goFor(10); Purpose: 1. 2. AEV Code: To calculate friction and propeller force Improve AEV design to reduce friction Result Next step: 1. Redesign AEV to reduce friction 2. Reduce mass of AEV

  8. Energy Analysis: Graphs

  9. Propeller Configuration

  10. Propellor Configuration Placing the propellers in the front and the back of the AEV Placing two propellers in the back (See figures in the next slide)

  11. Configuration 1 Configuration 2

  12. Propeller Configuration Power vs Distance Graph Configuration 1 results in longer distance ~11m compare to ~6m with a small difference in margin of energy used (121.970 vs 101.61W). Power vs Time Graph Configuration 1 showed to have used more energy compared to Configuration 2 per time. Interpretation Configuration 1 uses slightly more energy to travel a longer distance. The total energy used over time
