  3. We analyse art work in a very similar way to how we analyse photographs. We need to consider the image first of all in terms of what we can literally see and then our thoughts about what the metaphorical meaning might be. New knowledge Then we need to focus in on the composition of the piece the focal point, the use of space, the foreground vs the background, the combination of the image and the lettering and the perspective. We should also consider the use of colour. In addition, some specific techniques have been added to consider when looking at Banksy s work. In this lesson, we are going to complete a guided analysis of the work Love is in the air.
