  2. What is Silicon Valley Career Technical Education (SVCTE)? A program offered to 11th and 12th graders to allow them to obtain industry recognized certifications in the career pathway of their choice at the MetroEd campus located in San Jose. Student can earn: Quality skills needed for employment in chosen field 20-30 elective credits Internship opportunities Preparation for college Certificates offered at SVCTE

  3. OYA MetroEd Site The campus is centrally located in San Jose near Capitol Expressway and Highway 87 760 Hillsdale Ave, San Jose, CA 95136

  4. Certificates Forensic Science Auto Body Refinishing HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning) Auto Body Repair Law Enforcement Automotive Services Mechatronics Engineering Construction Technology Medical Assisting Culinary Arts Medical Science/Health Careers Dental Assisting Metals Technology Electrical Maintenance Mobile App Design & Computer Coding Fashion Design & Textile Art Pharmacy Technician Film & Video Production Sports Medicine & Kinesiology Fire Science/First Responder Truck Mechanics Animation Veterinary Science

Requirements Be able to attend Monday-Friday Morning (7:30am-9:30am) or Afternoon (12:30pm-3:30pm) Commit to this schedule for an entire year (2 semesters) Passed 10th grade English with a B or higher Passed Algebra 1 with a B or higher Attendance consistent with student s IS Agreement last 30 days Transfer to MetroEd site (Mr. Welch s roster) Attend MetroEd/OYA orientation Have consultation with College Liaison, Linda Ahmad Sign Agreement

  6. Current College Students Alumni in their first year of college: 75 Dual enrolled: 4 Most common services provided by College Liaison: Registering for Classes each semester/quarter Completing financial aid Connecting to resources on campus Helping navigate challenges that arise (academic, financial, career)
