About Me I grew up in a tobacco farming family in North Carolina I graduated from Appalachian State University in Boone, North Carolina, where I studied sustainable agriculture I have worked as a farmhand, a farm manager, and an agricultural data collector I am currently working for an agricultural non-profit that provides farmers with equipment and education so they can be more environmentally friendly!
In School Subjects I use most often in my job: 1. Science a. Biology, Chemistry, Ecology 2. Lunch Recess 3. English 4. Math 5. Art 6. History
High School, College, and Beyond 4-H and FFA- great clubs for learning about agriculture and making friends who love to be outdoors 2-year college programs- for learning to run a business or work with natural resources Universities- for learning the science of agriculture Certifications- to show that you really know your stuff (and make more money) Most students work on farms while taking classes
