Think of words to describe feelings. Find synonyms for feeling words. Try and think of words that show a different intensity of feelings.
Think of questions to ask Tranio and Livia that will explain how they were feeling when they fled from Pompeii. Write on post-it notes.
WALT: imagine the thoughts and feelings of a character. Use your questions and answers and write emotive words and phrases inside the figure. Write questions the characters might be asking around the outside. Back tables - Use powerful verbs and adjectives to write expanded phrases around a picture of Tranio and Livia. Middle tables - Use a thesaurus to find more powerful adjectives and verbs . Front tables Discuss words to show how the characters would be feeling and write around the picture. Use a thesaurus to help.
