  2. INTRODUCTION Today we will be exploring everyday emotions and what strategies can be used to build resilience. Let s set ground rules and establish boundaries to create a safe space: What you share is confidential and will stay in the room Only volunteering yourself and only sharing your personal experiences Speaking in the I and from your own perspective, vs pluralised pronouns of we and you Are there any more we should add to this list?   4. EVERYDAYFEELINGS Listen to scenarios and move across the room depending on how the scenario makes you feel... WHEREDOYOUSTAND? Not feeling confident Feeling very confident What could you do to feel more confident or less anxious? Everyday emotions and resilience | 4

  5. EVERYDAYFEELINGS Now as a group, let s reflect on the activity and discuss: How was it? What did you notice during the activity? Are the uncomfortable feelings always the same? What does this tell us about these feelings (e.g. anxiety)? Why might it be useful to know what we feel in our bodies? Everyday emotions and resilience | 5

  6. RESILIENTME Speech bubble resource Think of three positive things you do when you have a problem or to keep well in general and write them in your speech bubble Everyday emotions and resilience | 6

  7. RESILIENTME Put your speech bubble in the centre of the room, face down Pick a speech bubble and read the positive things that are written on it Reflect on the ones that resonate with you. Why do they resonate with you? Share with the group! Everyday emotions and resilience | 7

  8. RESILIENTME Let s reflect on How easy or difficult was it to think of activities? Do you tend to take the time to do wellbeing activities and positive things?   9. WRAPUP Resilient moves handout Think about the different ideas of resilient moves you have heard today. Can you think of a new resilient move you would like to try within the next week, to look after your emotional wellbeing? Everyday emotions and resilience | 9
