Chapter 17 All slaughter of animals must be presented to the priest as an offering to God. (vv3-7) Anyone offering a burnt offering without presenting it to the priest shall be cut off from the people. (v9) Anyone eating any blood will cut that person off from the people. (v10) Anyone eating meat dying of natural causes or torn by wild animals must wash their clothes, bathe, and be unclean until evening. (v15)
Chapter 18 No one shall uncover or view the nakedness of kin. (v6) Do not view your father, mother, daughter, aunt, uncle, daughter-in-law, sister-in-law, unwed daughter of any woman. (vv7-19) (Brothers, you re on your own ) No one shall uncover the nakedness of any woman during her menstrual uncleanness. (v19) No sexual relation with your kinsmen s wife. (v20) Do not sacrifice your offspring to Molech, only to God. (v21)
Chapter 18 Don t lie with a man as with a woman. (v22) No sexual relations with an animal (male or female) (v23) Any of these acts will result in exile. (vv24-25) the land will vomit you out. Chapter 19 You must be holy (pure and committed to God). (v2) You must revere mother and father & keep Sabbath. (v3) No idols, images, relics, representations of God. (v4)
Chapter 19 You must eat sacrifice on the day it is made or the day after; third day it must be consumed in fire. (vv5-8) Any offering eaten on or after the third day = exile. At harvest, you must leave gleanings for the poor, both grain and grape. (vv9-10) You shall not steal, gossip, lie, or cheat another. (v11) You shall not swear by, at, or about God. (v12) You shall not defraud, cheat, or steal from your neighbor. (v13)
Chapter 19 You shall not withhold a worker s wages until morning. (v13) You shall not mock deaf people or trip blind people. (v14) You shall not render an unjust judgment, (v15) You shall treat poor and rich exactly the same. (v15) You shall not slander your neighbor or profit by the blood of your neighbor. (v16) You shall not hate in your heart any of God s people. (v17)
Chapter 19 You shall not bear a grudge or pledge vengeance. (v18) You shall love your neighbor as yourself. You will not cross-breed animals (mules are sin), nor cross-breed plants (GMO, go to hell), nor make a garment using two different materials (cotton-blend, blasphemy!) (v19) If a man has sexual relations with a woman slave promised to another man, both shall be put to death. (v20)
Chapter 19 If the man presents a guilt offering to God and the priest accepts it, the man is forgiven, and the woman alone is put to death. (vv20-22) When you plant trees, you are forbidden to eat their produce for three years. The fourth year, all fruit must be set apart for rejoicing in the Lord, and eat all you want after year four. (vv23-25) Do not practice augury or witchcraft. (v26) Do not round off the hair of your temples or mar the edges of your beard. (v27)
Chapter 19 Do not make cuts or holes in your skin or tattoo any marks on your body. (v28) Don t force your daughter to be a prostitute. (v29) Keep the Sabbath and reverence the place of worship. (v30) Do not turn to mediums or wizards. (v31) Defer to the old and respect them. (v32) Immigrants/aliens shall be treated as citizens; you shall love the alien as you love yourself. (vv33-34)
Chapter 19 You shall not cheat in measuring length, weight, or quantity. You shall have honest balances, honest weights, an honest ephah, and an honest hin. (vv35-36) Chapter 20 You must stone those who give their offspring to Molech. (vv1-5) Exile anyone who visits mediums or wizards. (v6) Put to death anyone who curses their mother or father. (v9)
Chapter 20 If a man commits adultery with the wife of his neighbor, both adulterer and adulteress shall be put to death. (v10) If a man lies with his father s wife, they both shall be put to death. (v11). Same with daughter-in-law or another male. (vv12-13) If a man takes both a wife and her mother, they all shall be burned to death. (v14) If a man has sex with an animal, both should be killed. (v15), same for a woman. (v16)
Chapter 20 If a man takes his sister, daughter of his father or daughter of his mother, they shall be exiled. (v17) Both parties exiled when a man has sex with a menstruating woman. (v18) Do not uncover the nakedness of your aunt. (v19) If a man lies with his uncle s wife or his brother s wife, any children will not be allowed to live. (vv20-21) You must keep ALL THESE statutes, or the land will vomit you out. (v22)
Chapter 20 Make sure you only eat clean animals and birds; do not allow unclean to corrupt the clean. (v25) You must be holy as God is holy. (v26) A man or woman who is a medium or wizard shall be stoned to death. (v27)
Chapter 26 No images, idols, pillars, figures for worship. (v1) Keep Sabbath; reverence the sanctuary. (v2) For obedience: Rain in its season, plentiful crops, much fruit Abundant wine, plentiful bread Peace and security Eliminate fear, remove all dangerous animals, and conquer any and all enemies. God will make us fruitful and multiply (v3-13)
Chapter 26 For disobedience, God will: Bring terror upon us Afflict us with wasting diseases Allow our enemies to strike us down Punish us sevenfold for our violations Let wild animals out to hunt us, especially children and animals Send pestilence Cause famine
Chapter 26 For disobedience, God will: Force us to eat the flesh of your sons, and of your daughters. Destroy our altars Abhor us Lay cities waste, send unpleasant odors, make a desolation. Drive you to the land of your enemies (vv14-44) I am your God, if you are my people. (v45)
