Our words this week are Expanse Abyss Frolicked Have a think have you heard these words before?
Frolicked: Means to have fun, play and move about in a lively joyful way. The children frolicked in the snow. The lambs frolicked joyfully in the field. Can you think of your own sentence?
Expanse: means a wide, open space. The desert was a huge expanse of sand. There was nothing around for miles, just a wide expanse of snow covered fields. Can you think of your own sentence?
Abyss: means a deep space that cannot be measured. Somewhere that is unknown and nobody has ever been before. The brave girl held on tight to the rope bridge and tried hard not to look down into the abyss The scuba diver went deeper than ever before, wondering what creatures were to be found in the abyss Can you think of your own sentence?
Your turn Have a go at writing a sentence containing each one of our new words. Can you now have a go at writing a story set in a cold place using your plan from yesterday- can you try and include these three words?
