Lets Talk Graduation! For the class of 2025, you will need to complete three things for graduation: Earn 24 Credits (in the correct academic areas) Pass state tests in ELA and Math Develop a High School & Beyond Plan
Now, Lets Look at Credits In high school you need to earn 24 credits to graduate. These credits have to be in certain academic subjects. Each semester long class you pass is worth .5 credit. Do the math: 0.5 credit per class x 6 classes = 3.0 credits per semester 3.0 credits per semester x 2 semesters = 6.0 credits each year 6.0 credits per year x 4 years = 24.0 total credits If you do not pass a class, you do not earn the credit and the class will have to be made up at some point to earn it
The 24 credits in their subject areas
Please Remember It is important that you think carefully about your choices now so that you will be happy with your schedule next year you will be expected to remain in the classes you signed up for. Include alternates for your electives what would you want if your first choice isn t available?
