  1. SELF-PRESENTATION Nare Ghazaryan 9-3

  2. SELF PRESENTATION My name is Nare Ghazaryan, I m a student of Mkhitar Sebastatsi educational complex, I study in 9thgrade. My school gives us a chance to choose an elective subject. I find it very important, because it helps learn more and helpsstudents to decide on the future profession. There are many subjects: languages, art, sport But there s no subject related to my profession or hobby. I want to be a sociologist and I am very interested in literature and my main hobby is writing. So

  3. MY ELECTIVE SUBJECTS It s sad that there is no subject that satisfies my interests, but still it is interesting. This year I chose German because I love the history of this country. Then I chose graphic design, because I know that it is in demand and necessary for many professions. I can't say I'm progressing in graphic design. But this subject was useful: I realized that I am not very creative in drawing. I figured out my weak point and I can work on it. And this is very important!

  4. HOW DO MY HOBBIES HELP ME IN APPROACHING MY FUTURE PROFESSION? My main hobbies are writing and reading. Writing skills are important to have in any profession that is related to the humanities. If I want to write articles and books, then I definitely need it. I really love writing and would like to connect my life with it.

  5. WHAT BOOKS AND ARTICLES HAVE I READ THAT REALLY MEET MY INTERESTS? I wasn t used to read literature about sociology, because I am too used to fiction. But I can say that I still read and continue to read sociological literature. I was greatly influenced by The Sociological Imagination by Mills, for me it helps to understand the relationship between the person and society, and Mills in his book makes clear his position on what exactly sociologists should do. I can recommend this book as a starting point for studying such literature. The rest of the books I read were mostly modern and rather curious, although some of them spoke about the problems of certain countries and cultures, and after that I wondered if there were any books that talk about modern Armenian society. Perhaps I didn t search well, but still, I didn t manage to find anything like that ... So after that I set myself the goal of writing about something similar myself.

  6. WHAT AM I DOING NOW TO REACH MY FUTURE PROFESSION? WHERE WILL I CONTINUE MY EDUCATION AFTER LEAVING THE 9TH GRADE AND WHY? In addition to reading thematic literature, I can note that I observe a lot of what is happening around, analyze the actions and behavior of people and draw conclusions for myself. For me, this is quite important to be able to do. I want to continue my education in college. I think it would be useful for me:I will get a new environment, new people, new environment, new knowledge... Of course, it will be difficult to get used to it, but I am ready to leave my comfort zone.

  7. THANKS FOR ATTENTION!
