FAIRTRADE FORTNIGHT 21 February to 6 March 2022 For two weeks each year at the end of February and start of March, thousands of individuals, companies and groups across the UK come together to share the stories of the people who grow our food and drinks, mine our gold and who grow the cotton in our clothes, people who are often exploited and underpaid.
Wisdom Wisdom Wisdom is the use of knowledge. You may know something in theory but in reality not have the wisdom to use it. You may have knowledge about poverty around the world. But are you wise enough to know the ways to help solve it? Many farmers around the world are very wise and spend their lives growing crops which we see as essential. However not all of these farmers are paid fairly for these crops and spend their lives in poverty.

WHAT FAIRTRADE DOES What does Fairtrade do? Fairtrade works with farming co- operatives, businesses and governments to make trade fair. Together with Fairtrade farmers and workers we have a vision: a world in which trade is based on fairness so that producers earn secure and sustainable livelihoods. Fairtrade has a network of dedicated supporters who help to raise awareness of the issues of unfair trade and fundraise to support us in our work.

Let us pray Dear Lord, We pray for those who grow the food we eat and those who do not have enough food for themselves. Please help us make wise choices when choosing the products we use so we can help families around the world. Help us end unfair trade and ensure that everyone is rewarded for their endless hard work. In Jesus Name Amen
