Preceptor Expansion Action Plan Work with CMS to revise student documentation guidelines Integrate interprofessional/interdisciplinary education into ambulatory primary care settings Develop standardized onboarding process for students and preceptors & Integrate students into the work of ambulatory primary care settings in useful and authentic ways Develop educational collaboratives across departments, specialties, professions, and institutions to improve administrative efficiencies for preceptors Promote productivity incentive plans that include teaching & develop a culture of teaching in clinical settings

  9. Expectations for Pilot Sponsors Complete a brief questionnaire about your academic unit Participate in quarterly web conferences Monitor and report completion of ABFM Diplomates Complete a final survey at the end of the pilot

  10. Organizational Requirements Auditable record-keeping Portfolio manager Track physician participation and notify ABFM of completion

  11. PI Requirements Defined project aim and intervention(s) At least one improvement cycle Baseline measurement. May include: Self-evaluation of teaching skills performed by the teaching physician Assessment of the teaching physician by the Sponsor Post-intervention data. May include: Follow-up assessment from learner(s) and self- evaluation/reflection by the teaching physician Follow-up assessment of the physician by the Sponsor Comply with the ABFM Industry Support Policy

Meaningful Participation Requirements Teaching physician must : Complete an attestation appropriate to the teaching physician s work setting Complete at least 180 1:1 contact teaching hours Participate in implementing the intervention(s) Review project data including the pre-and post-data from the learner in accordance with the Sponsor s project plan Demonstrate active collaboration in the implementation of the project
