  2. How big is Neptune? ? Did you know that Neptune is the 4th LARGEST planet in the solar system? Neptune is around 49,244km wide which is about 4x bigger than earth! Neptune is also an ice giant since it is so cold, it is also a gas giant. This is what it would look like if Earth was next to Neptune:

  3. What is Neptune made from? Neptune is a fascinating planet since, it isn't solid! Its atmosphere contains around 83% of Hydrogen, 15% Helium and 2% Methane. The gas Hydrogen is the most abundant gas in the solar system. The core of Neptune is made up of iron, nickel and silicates. The inside of Neptune is about 7,000 c.

  4. How many moons does Neptune have? What are all 14 names of Neptune's moons? Naiad, Thalassa, Despina Neptune has approximately 14 moons and each moon are named for lesser sea Gods and nymphs from Greek mythology. Neptune takes about 165 years to orbit around the sun or 60,190 Earth days. It has also only orbited the sun once which happened in 2011. Neptune is the slowest planet in our solar system to orbit around the sun. Neptunes days are 16 hours which is 8 hours less than our days on Earth (24 hours) Fun Fact! Did you know that the sun is 27.7 times the size of Neptune? So, you can fit up to 21,000 Neptunes in the sun!

  6. How does Neptune's gravity compare to earths? Neptune's gravity is similar Earths, but it is still10% stronger than earths. This means that if you weigh 100 pounds on earth you would weigh 110 pounds on Neptune!
