  3. Fill in the blanks- a) Lucknow is famous for Chikankari. b) Rajasthan and Gujarat are famous for tie and dye. c) Synthetic fibre is made in the factories. d) Dyes are of two types.

Answer the following questions- Q.Write a short note on the following- a) Kalamkari -In Kalamkari skilled craftsman used Kalam (pen) for free hand drawing and brush to fill in colours and make patterns on cloth . b) Embroidery- Beautiful patterns created on any clothes or fabric using needle or thread is known as embroidery.

  6. Q4-Differentiate between Block Printing and Ikkat. Ans- Block Printing Ikkat 1- Wooden blocks with design carved on them are dipped in colour and then pressed on clothes. 2- Gujarat ,Uttar Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh and West Bengal are famous for block printing. 1- Cotton or Silk clothes are wrapped in bundles and tied with water- resistant material. 2-Odisha and Andhra Pradesh are famous for Ikkat
