Secondment in the Fellini programme The secondment can start from the second year programme The fellow can choose freely the research group to join, his/her supervisor and the external Research Institute or private company, where to spend 12 months of his/her time in secondment. The year secondment could also be split in 2 periods of 6 months to be spent in the same external Research Institute or private company, or in 2 different ones. The proposal of the secondment submitted to the Fellini CB shall include information on the scientific motivations and an official agreement from the receiving institution to host the researcher The proposal will be discussed with fellow s supervisor and approved by the Fellini CB, prior to the official activation procedure A guide line / template of the agreement will be provided by the Fellini office 3 FIRST GENERAL MEETING OF THE FELLINI PROGRAMME

Activation of the secondment 1/3 In case of secondment in a Foreign Institution: The fellow will ask to the Director of his/her INFN unit to activate the leave of absence ( congedo ) for research purposes; the leave is given by the President of INFN, under advise of the Director of the local unit and advise of the Board of Directors (CD); the period of leave is taken into account in the evaluation of the length of service, but is not valid for the evaluation of the period of vacation. The latter will be managed by the hosting institution; during the leave the researcher will receive the same salary. However the mobility allowance may increase up to twice the usual amount, depending on the specific site chosen for such secondment period 4 FIRST GENERAL MEETING OF THE FELLINI PROGRAMME

Activationof secondment 2/3 In case of secondment in a private company: The fellow will ask to the Director of his/her INFN unit to activate the posting ( distacco ) as of art. 3, par. 2, of law (D.Lgs.) n. 297/1999; during this period the reasercher mantains his/her employment relationship with the Institute; the effective activities will be discussed by the CB, the fellow s supervisor, the fellow and representatives of the company, in order to finalize the secondment agreement better suited and in best synergy to the fellows research plan; the posting will follow the agreement between the two parties, and will be activated by the Director of the local unit; the authorization is issued by the CD (Board of Directors). 5 FIRST GENERAL MEETING OF THE FELLINI PROGRAMME

Activationof secondment 3/3 Information All information requests concerning the official activation of the leave of absence or the posting must be addressed to the Director of the local unit through the direction secretariat or equivalent office. 6 FIRST GENERAL MEETING OF THE FELLINI PROGRAMME

  7. INFN insurance cover 1/4 Health insurance Insurance for medical expenses due to illness, accident and childbirth. In direct mode the Company pays directly the doctor(s)/hospital according to the contract rules. In indirect mode the insured person pays in advance and then he/she is reimbursed by the Company according to the contract rules. National Health Service (SSN-Sistema Sanitario Nazionale) Public health care, available in case the person is resident in Italy, is registered and is in possession of TEAM (Tessera Europea Assicurazione Malattia); valid in Italy, and valid abroad according to the current legislation. In Italy the National Health Service provides a full coverage for hospitalization, while ask a financial contribution (Ticket sanitario)for medical examinations 7 FIRST GENERAL MEETING OF THE FELLINI PROGRAMME

INFN insurance cover 2/4 Insurance for medical expenses due to illness, accident and childbirth is payed by INFN to the researcher and can be extended to relatives with a contribution from the researcher Occupational accidents insurance It covers unfortunate incidents occuring during working activities or occuring along the path home-work-home. This insurance covers severes damages or injuries that happens unexpectedly and unintentionally. 8 FIRST GENERAL MEETING OF THE FELLINI PROGRAMME

  9. INFN insurance cover 3/4 During secondments in Italy, in Europe or the rest of the world the following insurance covers are provided. They are valid for leave, posting as well as for the entire period of any work trip (missione). INFN insurance cover 4/4 Information Requests for any information concerning the activation of the policy, the reimboursement and the delivery times must be addressed to the personal secretariat or equivalent office of the local unit. INFN welfare benefits The INFN employees can request reimboursment for the following benefits Subsidies (Sussidio) It is a financial help to (partially) cover the expenses determined by serious events or conditions that affect the family budget of the employee. It is a national plafond Nursery school grant (figli in eta pre scolare) The benefit can be granted for children who attend nursery or kindergarten (public or private) Grants for children who attend primary or secondary schools and university Support for instruction-related costs, on the basis of documented expenses, concerning the purchase of books for the school and/or the university and costs for registration to universities or equivalent institutions 11 FIRST GENERAL MEETING OF THE FELLINI PROGRAMME
