Legislative Review Proposal Background: Global Grants Programme 12-month project, about USD50,000 (FJD110,000) Application period 27 February to 10 March 2025 Legal review to improve digitisation and interoperability Local or regional lawyer to lead with support from GHAI Workshops of local CRVS agencies Outcomes: 1. Comprehensive Legal Mapping: A thorough mapping and gap analysis of existing laws, regulations, and guidelines related to CRVS in Fiji, based on the GHAI Legal and Regulatory Review Toolkit. 2. Recommendation Report: A detailed set of recommendations for strengthening the CRVS legal framework and harmonizing provisions across all relevant Acts, based on the review of the existing framework. 3. Draft Legal Amendments: Technical assistance for the preparation of draft amendments to the relevant legal frameworks, incorporating the recommendations. 4. Stakeholder Engagement: Facilitation of meaningful engagement with all relevant stakeholders across government and civil society on the process and recommendations.
