Accountability . . . Again Romans 14:7-12
Accountability Romans 14:12 So then each of us shall give account of himself to God
Accountability 1 2 Love it! Hate it! How much do you like being held personally accountable?
Accountability 1 Peter 4:17-18 For the time has come for judgment to begin at the house of God; and if it begins with us first, what will be the end of those who do not obey the gospel of God? Now If the righteous one is scarcely saved, Where will the ungodly and the sinner appear?
Accountability Romans 14:12 So then each of us shall give account of himself to God Not someone else Not excuse ourselves Not avoid giving account to anyone
This is nothing compared to the Final Accountability Meeting! 1st Accountability Meeting Genesis 3:8-13 Viewed God as the Enemy, v. 8 Adam was afraid to meet God, v. 10 You can t fool God, v. 11 Adam was the first to play the blame game, v. 12 Eve was the second to play the blame game, v. 13
Final Accountability Meeting Revelation 20:11-15 THE DEAD small & great judged according to their works, v. 12 ALL THE DEAD no matter where or how they died, v. 13 The Book of Life, v. 15 If your name is missing, then you go to the Lake of Fire & Brimstone! No partiality with God, Romans 2:11; Acts 10:34-35

Accountability Ignorance? Acts 17:30; Romans 2:12-13 Truly, these times of ignorance God overlooked, but now commands all men everywhere to repent For as many as have sinned without law will also perish without law, and as many as have sinned in the law will be judged by the law (for not the hearers of the law are just in the sight of God, but the doers of the law will be justified Ignorance is no excuse!

Accountability Who Is Responsible For YOU? YOU ARE! So then each one of us shall give account of himself to God The buck stops here! Examine yourself whether you are in the Faith, 2 Corinthians 13:5 Excuses won t work! Heb. 4:13 And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are naked and open to the eyes of Him to whom we must give account
Accountability Who Is Responsible For YOU? Hiding from the Preacher or Elders won t help! Heb. 13:17 Obey those who rule over you, and be submissive, for they watch out for your souls, as those who must give account. Let them do so with joy and not with grief, for that would be unprofitable for you
Accountability How Serious Are You About Your Own Salvation? Seek first the Kingdom of God? Matt. 6:33 Are you being taught of God? John 6:45 Do you have regular spiritual check-ups? 2 Cor. 13:5 Prepare now today, 2 Cor. 6:2
1 Thessalonians 5:1-11 1. But concerning the times and the seasons, brethren, you have no need that I should write to you. 2. For you yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so comes as a thief in the night. 3. For when they say, Peace and safety! then sudden destruction comes upon them, as labor pains upon a pregnant woman. And they shall not escape. 4. But you, brethren, are not in darkness, so that this Day should overtake you as a thief. 5. You are all sons of light and sons of the day. We are not of the night nor of darkness. 6. Therefore let us not sleep, as others do, but let us watch and be sober.
1 Thessalonians 5:1-11 7. For those who sleep, sleep at night, and those who get drunk are drunk at night. 8. But let us who are of the day be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love, and as a helmet the hope of salvation. 9. For God did not appoint us to wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ, 10. who died for us, that whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with Him. 11. Therefore comfort each other and edify one another, just as you also are doing.
